WHAT WE DO
The Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving our city by elevating the personal and professional lives of Atlanta’s firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs—collectively known as Atlanta’s Bravest.
Since 2004, the Foundation has worked alongside the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department, whose first responders answer more than 100,000 calls each year. Through strategic investments, innovative programs, and strong public-private partnerships, we help ensure its more than 1,200 first responders have the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive—both on and off the job.
Because when Atlanta’s Bravest are supported, equipped, and empowered to succeed, our entire city is stronger and safer.

Breakfast With Our Bravest
Breakfast With Our Bravest is a signature event of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation, bringing together community leaders, corporate partners, and supporters to celebrate the heroism and bravery of the men and women of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department.
Firefighter 5K
The Firefighter 5K is an annual, family-friendly community event that brings together runners, walkers, firefighters, and supporters to honor service, remember sacrifice, and promote health and wellness during the September 11 commemorative weekend. Participants of all ages are invited to run alongside firefighters and residents from across the region, while supporting the mission of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation.
The Red Affair
The Red Affair is the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation’s signature gala, bringing together civic leaders, corporate partners, philanthropists, and community supporters for an elegant evening celebrating Atlanta’s first responders. Guests are invited to don their finest red attire in honor of the brave men and women of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department while investing in programs that strengthen those who protect and serve our city.
